7/21 - What is the Third Day Family Picnic?

This fall, two of our Revelation Tour Dates, Simpsonville, SC and Alpharetta, GA, will expand to become Third Day Family Picnic events.

At these shows, we have added the incredibly talented artists Jars of Clay and Thousand Foot Krutch as well as a host of other great acts.  You'll still get the chance to see the full THIRD DAY tour show with special guests Glory Revealed as well.

These shows will start earlier in the day, and we will announce other additions to the dates later.  Wired members will still be able to purchase tickets for these shows in an exclusive pre-sale window starting 7/22 at 10:00 AM eastern time.

7/18 - Tour Dates/Pre-Sales Clarified

We've updated the Thirdday.com Touring Page to now reflect the most up to date information.  We will be sending you more emails ahead of the upcoming Wired pre-sales for the tour shows.

Some information continues to tweak.  We apologize for the confusion.  Some of it is a result of trying to get you the information absolutely as soon as possible.

7/16 - ALL THINGS WIRED PT. 2

Do the VIP Ticket holders get the best seats?  Yes.  The VIP package is our attempt to give fans some value over just paying more money for the best seats, but in short, "yes."  The VIP ticket packages are pulled from the best seats in the house.  As a WIRED member, you have the first chance to buy these tickets.  These tickets come with the "meet and greet", but as we covered before, that is a bit of a redundancy for you.  So, buy your tickets based on where you want to sit.

Cindy...I bought "VIP" tickets to Creation and the seats were BEHIND the standing crowd! I wouldn't have bought the VIP tickets if I would have known I could stand up closer for the regular price. But we still had our Meet & Greet before the show.

Creation's ticketing policy has nothing to do with our tour.  Our VIP packages are all pulled from the premier seating in the venue or "gold circle seating."  You'll be able to se this as you go to buy tickets for the specific show you'll be attending.

Will you sign something else if we already have a signed CD?  YES

PRE-SALE

How does the pre-sale work?

Look for an email today or tomorrow that gives details for pre-sale codes for the first 8 of 12 shows that are going on Sale.  This code will allow you to purchase whatever tickets you want 24-48 hours before they are made available to the general public.

When will the rest of the tour dates go on sale?  How will the pre-sale work for those dates?

The rest of the tour dates (4) should be announced next week.  The pre-sale for those dates will work the same way as these 8.  You will be sent an email with a code or instructions to log in and access a code that you can use to purchase any ticket you want prior to the general sale of tickets which will start 24-48 hours later.

MEET AND GREET/VIP TICKETS

How Does the Wired Meet and Greet work?  

We are constantly tweaking the meet and greets to maximize the experience for both the fans and the band.  On our last tour, we held the meet and greet after the show, but it made for a very late evening for both members, especially with kids, and the band.  We are currently planning on combining  the Wired Meet and Greet with the VIP/guest meet and greet before the show with a twist* (see below)

The VIP Tickets include a Meet and Greet.  Do I have to buy a VIP ticket to be able to attend the meet and greet?

The VIP ticket package includes a CD and admission to THE meet and greet.  As a current Wired Member, you already get access to THE meet and greet.  Make your ticket purchasing decisions based solely on proximity to the stage and where you'd like to sit.  If you choose to purchase a VIP ticket,   well,, the CD does make a great gift... especially autographed.

*How will our Wired experience be different then non-members who just buy a VIP ticket?

First of all, we sincerely hope that you take advantage of all the features that your membership affords... 20% online store discount, advanced ticketing, access to the Wired Radio database, and fan kit.  However, we know that the MEET and GREET is probably the biggest value and reason for membership.  Our current plan, subject to change, is to have everyone attending the meet and greet lined up at the venue.  Everyone will then pass through the autograph line getting their CDS autographed.  Then, VIP ticket holders will go to their seats.  At that time Wired members will hang behind in the WIRED lounge where they will get a little bit of face time with the band and an opportunity for pictures.  When possible, we hope to transform the WIRED lounge to a mobile coffee shop (with free Thousand Hills Coffee) that members will be able to access throughout the night.

 

7/2 - Summer Project Day

Those of you who know the guys in Third Day know that David Carr is by far the handiest guy in the band.  He has done some amazing home projects.

Today, I thought I'd keep the "staycation" party movin' by doin' my own little garage clean up.  After our bike ride yesterday, I discovered that we simply did not have a good system to store all of the active duty bikes for our family.  I looked online and found these simple instructions on how to build an inexpensive bike rack.  With as many bikes as we have, I just doubled the instructions to make two.

So, the boys in the family headed off to Home Depot to get the supplies and do our own little project.

1. And, after a couple hours of quality family time, and a motivation to go ahead and clean out the rest of the garage...

Nothing glorious as far as projects go, but it did kill 4 hours, keep the boys busy, clean up the garage, and it only cost $40.  A good day!
