Wild at Heart Summer Camp Style!
This video shows the different ways parents look at things. I was encouraging Cole to jump on "the Blob." Shannon, was audibly fretting the whole ordeal.
This is one of those situations where I said, "Cole, you need to jump." "I don't want to." "Yes you do. You just don't know it yet."
Anyway, Cole had a blast..... literally!
Thheee BBLLOOBB!!! I was ejected by one at a mens retreat with my church. But I feel for Mrs. Anderson, as I went almost straight up, and came almost straight back down, hitting the a rope that held it with my foot. Still fun though!

That's funny, because the roles are reversed at our house. I am the daredevil, always trying to get my kids to try those kinds of things. My hubby is the "mother hen" who is always sure they will suffer untold injuries. That looked like lots of fun!

I watched in horror as my 8 year old daughter, 8 year old nephew and their dads did this last year at Lake of the Ozarks and the Mommies on shore were JUST as nervous as it sounds like Shannon was. BUT the kids LOVED it! They have literally talked about it all year. We are doing a repeat trip this year to the same camp so the "little ones," now 7 and 5 can have their turn. SO FUN! (not that you would catch me in that water.)

I can so relate to Shannon! You dads are too wild with your boys sometimes, lol. My husband's the same way with my 2 1/2 year old. I suppose it will only get worse as he gets older. :)
