Question/Answer # 2
hey tai...
caught the monroe, LA show and while you guys still rocked the house, there is an obvious difference in you guys' sound without the second guitar (or third if you want to count mac). do you guys foresee at some point bringing the other guitar back? not necessarily as a band member (although brad returning someday would be cool enough), but maybe a sideman for touring, a la scotty on keys? thanks...
Right now, we don't have any plans to bring out another touring member. We do have a couple channels free on the mixer where guests can slide in.... and we'd like to see that happen a lot. But, we're really enjoying the new sound. We've found a real clarity in our in-ear mixes, what we listen to on the Wired Radio, and the feedback we're getting from fans overall has been fantastic. It's a little intimidating to think about following Switchfoot who essentially have 3 electric guitars on a lot of songs. But, I think it will just force us to continue to stay on our "A" game. With the new musical arrangement, every part matters.
If we started feeling that the sound was at all being compromised, we would look to rectify it.
I didn't get to see the Spring tour but I saw you in Myrtle Beach and thought you were amazing. Mark was rocking hard than I've ever seen him and you Tai were spot on. Looking forward to the Fall tour (yes I WILL be there) and I love some Switchfoot and I know that for over 2 hours I will be in my "happy place"....rockin' with Switchfoot AND Third Day. I can hardly wait!!!

Tai,
My family came to see you guys at Busch Gardens and the sound was really "clean". I don't know if it was being outdoors or not but I have been to Come Together, Wire and Where Ever You Are and this was the best yet. The way God has used Third Day is awsome. See you guys in September in Va. Beach.

Tai.
How much choice do y’all have in selecting touring partners? I notice that most of the time the people you tour with are under the same management umbrella. While I understand that aspect of it, I always wondered if you just get a list from the management company and have to chose from that last, or if you can actually tour with who you want.
Oh.. as that political blowhard from AZ mentioned, See ya in San Antonio… or sooner
