WRITE IT DOWN!

Thanks to all of you who have sent messages of encouragement about the Lessons from the Road book. If you were one of the fortunate people who I gave a complimentary copy to then I hope you enjoy it but also that you recommend it to other fans of Third Day. I believe it will positively impact their walk with the Lord AND their understanding of the band. I'd further encourage you to establish the practice of writing things down -even as simple as a basic mission statement or vision for ministry that you might have had from the Lord. It will solidify things in your mind and spirit, and may well be a blessing to others.

Jer. 30:2 “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.

As the band head out for a series of 4 concerts this weekend, I won't be with them because I'm remaining in Cardiff, Wales to speak each morning in a conference called IgniteHope. You can read all about it on my personal blog site Spin Like The Wind.

Hmmmmm this reminds me of my email to you Nigel in regard to my book! hahahaha

Nigel,
I got my copy in the mail yesterday. I've gotten through (no pun intended) a third of the book so far. I love it! Thank YOU for writing significant things down. "Lessons" has definitely blessed me already. I've been very encouraged by your faith and that of the band's, even more than I was before. Again, thank you for your labor for Christ.

Nigel, we would love to get a copy of this book to review on our site accesschristianmusic.com - if you send us a copy we would love to give you some extra exposure in the form of a review!

-Chris

I do a lot of mission work and have just been able to be home for awhile. Going out again, to Guatemala shortly. I am missing something here: where is Brad Avery? I only see four faces in the site. Let me know what happened. Thanks Third Day once again for wonderful music.

Nigel,
I have been reading the book and love it! I am so touched by the devotions you shared and the words shared by the band. I pray God will continue to bless you and the ministry of Third Day. Oh, and your families, I see how hard this must be on them sometimes. God Bless!

I loved the book......I'll be buying some more copies to give to my pastor and a few others.
Have you thought about a movie of life on the road? I've said this before..... sort of like the Beatles' 'Hard Day's Night' but maybe called a 'Third Day's Night'.....:) It could be used to raise money for the school in India...

I am sure that you guys get an enormous quantity of "Your song saved my life" stuff. Even though...Here is another one. Your music did not save my life, that glory goes to Jesus. However, your music did rescue my spirit from decline and depression at a critical time in my life. I am 52 years old, in the last 4years i have lost 60 % of my vision, deaming me legally blind. which has dramatically changed my families daily dynamic. My career ha sbeen based on technical deteil, totally dependent on good vision for 30 years. As a result of the vision issue I lost my job/career and 65% of my families income. As a recovered multiple "fix"addict my first instinct was to roll up in a ball, be mad at God, and give up; which I did for a while! It has been a rough adjustment process.. My 14 year old son purchased your albumn"Wherever you are" for me that has the song "Tunnel" on it. I am still in awe of how God used your gifts through an everyday "cliche' phrase to heal and remind me that God will use this situation for His glory. He will provide our needs, and He will restore what has been taken form me. For we all know that He uses" all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose". Every time I found myself slipping into darkness I remembered "Tunnel" and "Love heals your Heart" He is developing a new call on my life, even at 50 plus!!I am now a teacher in the local school system, something I have always had a passion for anyway; I think not. I had allowed myself to become content and passionless in a job i dispised just to pay the bills. God does not want His children to live like that! I had the opportunnity to hesr you guys live in Nashville @ the Wildhorse, along with Switchfoot and Jars of Clay . It was a very affirming experience for me. thank you for speaking to my son through your music and to me as well. Thanks for allowing the Son to speak through you. "The sun is Shining" in my life again !!

Thank you

Dale Smith
