PETH NEWYDD ( that's Welsh for 'A new thing')
Despite my intentions of focusing our devotional times on 'Issues that Men face' , God has had other plans.
Tonight, I really felt we needed to be reminded that the Lord delights in doing a new thing. Reading the story of 'new wine' and 'new wineskins' we unpacked what the Greek word 'kainos' means. That's the word which is translated 'new' in Luke 5.36-39; the parable of the wineskins. 'Kainos' isn't simply new but definitely better than what might have gone before. With Third Day entering a new season we recognised that God was wanting to pour out 'new wine' and that we needed 'new wineskins' which were able to stretch and respond as the wine matures. Tai has been talking the last few days about some new ideas and business structures that really fit into the 'new wineskins' example so the Bible passage was definitely a word in season. We prayed for a new blessing in this new season and asked for fresh hope and a new shape that will bring greater creativity, holiness, and impact.
By the way, I set the guys some homework to be completed by next weekend's concerts- Questions about Identity that will help us as we study the second in the 'Issues that Men face' series.
Nigel,
All the guys are the tour are incredibly blessed by the Lord through you. Thank you for sacrificially loving them among all the other things you are a part of. Again, it was good to meet you after the show in Waterloo, IA. I hope the next few shows are as amazing and fresh as they have been so far. Thank you for challenging the guys with those identity questions. God bless you!

I will continue to pray for the guys and for you as you lead these devotionals. I was blessed to be able to attend the show in Monroe and to hear the amazing tracks from the upcoming album. It sounds indeed like something very special.
Isaiah 43: 15-
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King." 16 This is what the LORD says — he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, 17 who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
