BRAD MOVES ON.

So the sad and surprising news is out that Brad and Third Day have parted ways. As I join the band on the road next week I'll be doing all I can to help them through this transitional time and I'l also be aiming to spend some time with Brad in Atlanta. Life will be different without Brad around, but we trust the Lord as the band enter a new era. We also trust the Lord to bring favor to Brad and his family.

Rom. 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

HANG THIRD DAY... ON YOUR WALL.

There's a great painting of the band available to buy. It's been painted by Teresa Sharp, who is the UK Auntie Gomer, and it's been personally signed by each band member. If you are are looking to add the finishing touches to your Third Day tribute room or needing something for your Third Day themed restroom, then this painting would be ideal! You can check it out and buy online.

IT'S NOT MAC!

2 votes coming in for Mac as the author of the mystery excerpt from the new book. Still WRONG!  Actually, one voter's second choice was correct.... the writer was...... David Carr.

IT'S NOT TAI!

Two people have guessed that Tai wrote the sneak preview piece from the new book- WRONG! That leaves 4 possible correct answers...

BACK ON THE ROAD.

As the band begin a series of 4 shows at House of Blues venues on the West Coast, I've recovered enough from some health issues to book my airline ticket to join them on the Spring tour starting in a couple of weeks time. As always, I'm praying for wisdom as to what to share in our devotional times- at the moment I believe the Holy Spirit is leading me towards the theme 'Issues that all men face'.
It looks like we'll be doing some promotional stuff at GMA for the book "Lessons from the Road" and to whet your appetite here's another little extract:
When a younger band comes to us for advice about becoming successful, I reply with what is often seen as a cliché but it is true and very important- build a fan base. Of course then they ask ‘how do we do that?’ and that’s the $64,000 question! The answer has to be to make music that people want to listen to and want to become a fan of. It’s important not to forget what attracts you to songs that you like, and what makes you become a fan of a band. Oftentimes it’s that catchy song that you keep on singing to yourself. We’ve been fortunate that since the start of Third Day we have had fans who genuinely like our music and believe that it speaks to them at a heart level. Even in those early days it wasn’t just our friends patting on the back saying ‘well done’, there were always a growing number of fans. I don’t know how to simply reproduce that for anyone else, but the relationship with our fans has always been vital to the success of Third Day

This wasn't written by me- but which band member did write it? Who do you think?
