"FOR GOD AND COUNTRY" TOUR.

I'm sitting in a hotel in Kuwait having just completed our "For God and Country" tour with the USO. We've been visiting US Army bases in Iraq and Kuwait and the tour has been life-changing. I'll post a blog about our devotions in a day or two, and a full report of the tour, but I can say that the troops we met had a real thirst for God, were worshippers, and loved the Third Day concerts! The US military chaplains we worked with were outstanding men of God, and the sacrifice of the military was brought home to us today as we flew from Iraq to Kuwait on an 'Angel flight' - a C130 Hercules transport that was flying a fallen soldier home in a casket. He'd been killed on the base we were visiting yesterday.
"Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. And as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army." 2 Timothy 2.3-4
AARRGGGGHHH!!!! Tai promised the handle bar moustache was on permanent hiatus! hahahaha
Seriously though, I am thrilled that I have heard from you. God bless you guys. I have been keeping a heavy Watch. Just wish I could give y'all a big ol' hug!
I shouldnt be amazed, but I am....I read on Mark's blog that there is prayer groups etc. I am thrilled that there are Christians in amongst the troops. I pray that the Holy Spirit remains powerful among the men and women there...
Thanks for the photos.
Thanks for everything.
Continuing on Watch.....

Wow, I guess the Angel flight really brings the truth home that there is a definite sacrifice made daily in that part of the world. God Bless all the soldiers still fighting and families who suffered the loss of their loved one for the sake of our country. God Bless you and the men of Third Day for bringing some much needed entertainment to our servicemen and women. And I will continue to pray for peace in that region so our weary soldiers can return home.
