CHRISTMAS TRUTH.

At one of the last shows on the Christmas tour, the church pastor encouraged Mark Lee to take any books from his shelves that he fancied reading. One of the books Mark took was "Soul Cravings" By Erwin McManus. This reminded me that I had read the book on my last mission trip to India and had been struck by a number of ideas that McManus had. Revisiting the book, I found this great quote about Christmas:
Jesus didn't come to show us a better way or point us to a better life, but instead invites us to know him as the One who is the way, the truth and the life. If all God wanted was to make sure that we knew the truth, Jesus didn't have to come..... It's simply not enough to know what is true. We need far more than that. We need to know the One who is true. Jesus walked among us not so that he could get to know us but so that we would come to know him. God himself stepped into human history so that we would know that he is not only the source of truth, but that he is utterly and completely trustworthy.
May God bless you this Christmas, as you walk in the truth, love, peace and trust of Jesus.

Beautiful!
Christmas is but 2 hours and 34 minutes away - my time....
So Merry Christmas my dear Brother. You have certainly helped make this Christmas memorable and very special. You are a treasure.
Love to you and your lovely family.
Joan, John, Elijah and Caleb.

Christmas…magic…mystery…hope…joy…restoration…peace… Feeling alive for the first time in my life, at Christmas, is incredible.

Embracing the truth of the Birth of Jesus prepares me to understand the gravity of the events that transpired on Calvary. The truth is sobering, yet, exhilarating! That I, wretched and wicked, was deemed worthy by an act of Love, so outrageous, it must be true! The precious Gift of Salvation from my Father in Heaven was presented without strings, without condition, and without any action from me…apart from accepting this Gift. I have known all of this…in my head…but until I accepted this truth in my heart, nothing in my life was going to change. Peace would be out of my grasp.

This year there was a radical change in my life. This year, I accepted God’s love for me as truth in my heart and that has made all the difference. What I have longed for my whole life: magic, mystery, hope, joy, restoration, and peace have come to rest in my heart as well as my mind. All I want for Christmas this year, is the strength and obedience to give God my life and my trust in Him so that I may be the servant he created me to be.

Oh..I forgot. Merry Christmas, Nigel, to you and your family. God Bless you!

Thank you Nigel. Have a blessed christmas!
